Berlin: New TV channel in digital Free-TV - TIMM, the first TV channel for gay people, demonstrates its entire playout using CUBA Broadcast Suite from PACE Media Development GmbH
Brave new world of television – PACE Media Development GmbH, Berlin´s enterprise specializing in high-quality playout and realtime graphic systems has bridged a gap in the market with the launch of TIMM, the first free receivable TV channel for gay people. Since 1 November 2008, the premiere of the new channel, the highly specialized system solution CUBA Broadcast Suite has enabled the entire playout of TIMM. Many qualities of CUBA were used by broadcasting TIMM: on air graphics, video playback, playout, ingest und program automation.
TIMM is the first channel for the gay community and all others who are interested in the topic “man”. Since the beginning of November the new channel has informed and entertained in digital free TV. TIMM enriches the existing television scene with a program ranging from international cult series, feature films, documentaries and self produced shows, news and magazines. TIMM is operated by the DFW, Deutsche Fernsehwerke GmbH. It is not just a TV channel, but also a media platform for TV, online, print and radio streams. TIMM is broadcast from 17 until 23 o´clock and is received free via cable, satellite, IP TV and the internet as live stream via www.timm.de.
