Berlin: Software playout solution CUBA Broadcast Suite of PACE Media Development GmbH made the political format “Your Choice! The SAT.1- Arena” interactive
In the live-program "Your Choice! The Sat.1-Arena" Sabine Christiansen and Stefan Aust cross-examine politicians every Sunday at 22.15 in the studio Berlin-Adlershof.
The remarkable thing about this program is that it enables the audience to actively participate in the live broadcast by allowing them to ask questions and give their comments. This is achieved through the use of CUBA Broadcast Suite produced by the software house PACE Media Development GmbH.
CUBA Broadcast Suite, a highly specialized system for playout and realtime graphic, enables the various forms of audience involvement throughout the show. The comments and questions the audience members put forth to the debaters were integrated into the process via SMS, E-Mail, video message and Twitter during the show. In collaboration with TV21, the producer of the program, the content from the various channels of participation were set up by an editorial data base. The content was read in realtime, transcoded, graphically designed and leaked by the software CUBA Broadcast Suite. This integration of multiple channels of communication was possible through the adaptability of CUBA Broadcast Suite in relation to the integration of external data and information sources. Thus, the audience could participate actively through a variety of possible modern communication platforms while the show was taking place and not just be passive spectators.
