CUBA at final draw of the FIFA World Cup South Africa 2010™
Berlin/Cape Town: Already a second time the software company PACE Media Development GmbH successfully demonstrated a closed circuit playout system solution for a "Media TV" of the FIFA
On 4 December 2009 the drawing of the final groups of the FIFA World Cup in South Africa 2010™ took place in the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC). The drawing decreed the ultimate group combination of the last 32 football teams.
Inside the location CTICC, the press should be offered the latest information on current events at all times. Thus, a high level technical communication flow was possible through the use of the playout solution CUBA Broadcast Suite. The software applications were the base of the FIFA “Media TV” and combined video, audio and text information in real time. CUBA provided for a smooth communication between the FIFA, participating media representatives and the local organization committees meanwhile broadcasting the program „Media TV“. Already in July 2009 at the FIFA Confederations Cup, the leaders of the local organizing committee choosed CUBA Broadcast Suite to offer high-quality service.
